Bonnie Gortler, married for 28 years, mother of a daughter in college, entered into the world of finance, when she accepted, in 1982, a position in the marketing department of a growing investment management corporation. Bonnie’s interests broadened from marketing to include the direct provision of investment services. Her knowledge and capabilities expanded as she completed an evening MBA program in finance at the Roth Graduate Business School of Long Island University while handling rapidly growing responsibilities at her firm.In due course, Bonnie advanced to associate and then to full portfolio manager, ultimately to the position of head portfolio manager within the firm. At this time, Bonnie directly leads a team of portfolio managers responsible for the investment of client assets in excess of $250 million. Bonnie closely identifies with her firm’s belief that its mission lies with serving people, rather than simply handling money and investments. Bonnie is multi-faceted, loyal, a proven leader, a compassionate woman who is a hard working stock market guru in the corporate world for 28 years.
